Empire — Album Cover
An album cover concept titled EMPIRE for the artist METACOM, centered on a surreal floating fortress-island drifting through clouds. Bold extruded green type with a long warm-orange shadow anchors the composition, paired with a faux automotive warning label — the framed cover floating over a blurred echo of itself.

Reflection
I wanted the cover to feel like a world rather than just a graphic — hence the floating citadel that looks like it has a whole civilization clinging to it. The chunky extruded title with that long sunset shadow gave it the swagger the title “Empire” demanded. Slipping in the mirror-warning line was my favorite move; it adds a wink and a second read. Designing for music taught me how much a single still image has to carry the mood of an entire record.
