La Lanza — Student Newspaper
La Lanza is the student newspaper of Colegio San José in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico, which I led as graphic artist and President/Editor across editions LXIX through LXXIV. The archive spans finished digital spreads for the earlier editions and a full press-ready print magazine for Edición LXXIV (March–May 2021) — cover design, table of contents, editor letters, senior features, and culture stories laid out across draft rounds in Photoshop.

Reflection
Reflection
La Lanza is where I learned that graphic design is really editorial leadership in disguise — every cover, masthead, and spread had to carry the voice of the whole school, not just my taste. Running it through the pandemic meant designing around masks, distance, and a senior class that deserved a beautiful send-off despite everything. Iterating through four full draft rounds taught me to hold a consistent system — type, crest, color — across dozens of pages while still letting each story breathe. It is the project that turned me from someone who made posters into someone who could art-direct a publication.
