I wanted How to Boil A Planet to slow people down enough to see themselves in the water, because it’s easy to treat climate change as something happening at a distance. Using water as a lens to the self let me connect a planetary emergency to something intimate and almost meditative. Earning a Bronze Award from Bow Seat affirmed that a quiet, reflective approach can still carry urgency — and taught me that the most lasting environmental messages often start by asking the viewer to look inward.
